Tips
DST gaps: US time zones all change at 2:00 AM local time, so New York to Los Angeles stays 3 hours (apart from a few hours on the change night). The US and Europe change on different dates, though. New York to London is 4 hours (not 5) from Mar 8 to 29 and from Oct 25 to Nov 1, 2026.
Invites: Always name the time zone (e.g. "2:00 PM ET" or "2:00 PM New York"). "EST" is only correct in winter.
For Developers: Store all timestamps in UTC, convert to local time only for display
Recurring Events: Use timezone-aware calendar apps. A "9 AM Monday call" should stay at 9 AM local time even through DST changes.
