US exceptions (no DST): Hawaii, Arizona (except the Navajo Nation), Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa
Canada: British Columbia (UTC-7), Alberta and the Northwest Territories (UTC-6) and Manitoba (UTC-5) sprang forward on March 8 but do not fall back on November 1. Saskatchewan and Yukon have no clock changes.
Mexico: no DST since 2022, except municipalities on the US border, which follow the US dates.

Notes:
- US vs Europe: the gap between New York and London is 4 hours instead of 5 from March 8 to 29 and from October 25 to November 1, 2026. In 2027 it is March 14 to 28 and October 31 to November 7.
- Southern Hemisphere: seasons are reversed. Clocks go forward in September/October and back in April.
- Recent rule changes: BC, Alberta, the NWT and Manitoba stop changing clocks from November 2026. Morocco moved to UTC+0 all year on September 20, 2026. Paraguay has stayed on UTC-3 since October 2024. The EU proposal to end clock changes is still blocked in the Council.

Practical Notes:
- Meetings: recheck recurring international meetings in the weeks when only one side has changed its clocks
- Devices: phones and computers adjust automatically only if their time zone data is up to date. This matters for Western Canada in November 2026 and for Morocco.
- Servers: store timestamps in UTC and convert with named time zones (e.g. "America/Vancouver"), not fixed offsets
